Playing as The Mulligan Man in our tournament, I was fascinated by how quickly you made friends. I don't know how you do it. Not only did you play with every group, but I'm amazed at how you seemed to remember everybody's name. Remembering names lends so much to people having a good time; it makes them feel special. But I really want to thank you for the professional way you served as our Master of Ceremonies. It was obvious you were in complete control the entire evening. You made the banquet move smoothly, you kept the crowd laughing with your humor and jokes and the most important to us, you raised significantly more money on our auction items than we anticipated. Your service to us was money well spent.... Using those baseball gifts to encourage silent auction bidding was a unique twist and absolutely increased bidding action. Please let the Angels know the goodwill they are spreading with their give-aways. Thank you again for all you did and we look forward to working with you again.

Your personal involvement in our tournament, from the morning check-in to the final goodbye that night, played a major role in the success of this fundraiser. It was an honor to have a true professional as our Master of Ceremonies. Playing one hole with each foursome as the 'Mulligan Man' was a wonderful new twist for our tournament. Many of the golfers commented on your enthusiasm and congeniality. You acted as a cohesive force among several of the foursomes, and truly added to everyone's enjoyment. During the cocktail hour, you kept the mood upbeat and the Dodger gifts you brought provided some great incentives that kept the sale of raffle and drink tickets brisk. The awards banquet was all the more enjoyable thanks to your humor and style. Eric, thank you for all your help and effort in making the 11th Annual Hospice Golf Classic so successful.

You were a funny and consummate professional Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer, but it was all the added-value bonuses you brought to our organization that really impressed us. When Susan Harrison at American Golf Corporation suggested we hire you we thought, ' do we really need an MC?' But from our first conversation with you a full 6 months before our event, it was obvious you were a hands-on guy with much experience to offer our event and whether we needed you for a luncheon meeting or numerous phone calls, you were there to share your contacts, know-how and advice. On tournament day, it was nice to lean on you. Your 'Mulligan Man' idea was a big hit! Playing one hole with every group was a nice twist and you helped a number of foursomes with your play. That really is a terrific idea, much better than just putting you with one group. I couldn't believe that night how many people treated you as an 'old buddy' after playing one hole of golf with everyone. You really remember names, make friends easily and have a knack of making people feel comfortable. With all this said, it was really in front of the microphone that evening where your skills and experience shined. Your sense of humor and timing kept the auction and raffle moving. It was also very heads-up of you to get those people at the bar to quiet down during our speakers' presentations. It seems just a gentle word or two from you and the decibel level dropped considerably. By the way, please also thank the Dodgers for the hats, beach towels and autographed baseballs. You were right; they helped sell raffle tickets and earned good money at the auction. Eric, it's true, experience really does make a difference. Thank you for lending yours to our event. We look forward to your involvement again....

Your enthusiasm and professionalism at the microphone made the difference between the golfers leaving after the social hour and staying for and participating in the remainder of the evening - something that has been difficult the past few years. We also found that sales from our silent auction and Chinese raffle dramatically increased as well due to the excitement you generated. Many thanks for also donating the Dodger memorabilia for auction. It added a wonderful new dimension to our event, and we appreciated the extra cash donations. This was the most profitable golf tournament we have had in 8 years and attribute much of it to your eagerness to involve everyone at the banquet. Thanks for all your help. We are most appreciative."

Big Brothers Golf Classic
Riviera Country Club, Pacific Palisades
I have been the Chairman of the Big Brothers Golf Classic since its inception six years ago. The tournament is held at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles and individual player spots sell for a very pricey $1,600 each. Therefore, we need to provide a very entertaining day in order to insure that our players return the following year. This year we used Eric Tracy as our Master of Ceremonies. It was by far the best program we have ever had and I received many more compliments and renewals than normal. I might also add that this year we raised more money than ever as Eric put our golfers in the mood to spend. He also brings a wonderful twist to playing golf on tournament day with his 'Mulligan Man.' Eric played one hole with every group helping many to a better score on the hole he participated. He brought a great deal of levity to each group, and was able to work in anecdotes about many of the players into his routine as Master of Ceremonies. The crowd loved it! As far as I'm concerned, Eric has earned a long-term position as Master of Ceremonies at the Big Brothers Golf Classic....

5th Annual Seal Beach Seaside Lions Worldwide Charity Golf Tournament
Navy Golf Course (Cypress, CA)
The Seal Beach Seaside Lion’s Club would like to thank you and your team for the high-energy you brought to our Fifth Annual Golf Tournament. The tournament was a great success as attested by our golfers. They had smiles and comments of their experience on the Destroyer Course that day. We also want to thank you for your professional expertise in handling the different aspects of the tournament. With your marketing knowledge and dollar sense we were able to present the tournament in a much more efficient manner. You certainly have an innovative way of handling the entire mulligan package, raffle and skills contests. You increased our profits for charity by three-fold. Your advice during several of my phone calls was right on. Consulting with you gave me a renewed outlook concerning each aspect of fundraising. You brought so many more benefits to our tournament with prizes, personalities, sociability, pictures, the Mulligan Girls, signage, and golf cart information. I truly cannot give you enough praise and club appreciation for your Eric Tracy “The Mulligan Man” package.”

The Mulligan Man was a huge success. Your banter on and off the course, the jokes and your exceptional 'emcee' prowess were very much appreciated by our players and sponsors alike. 'Where did you find him, and how can we get him back next year?' was a frequent question I was asked immediately following the event. Your help with the compressed social hour and auction really helped rescue what could have been a disaster. It speaks to your expertise in handling these events with style and effectiveness. I cannot thank you enough! I want to ask you to come back for our 2001 event....

Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood Golf Tournament
Wood Ranch Golf Club, Simi Valley
This is just a small way of expressing our gratitude for the big way you influenced the success of the Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood Golf Tournament. As you know, the recent Wood Ranch tournament was our club's first such event in many years. To say that there was apprehension and concern over the success of the event would be an understatement. Thanks to our hard working committee and master of ceremonies, the event exceeded our greatest expectations. The success of our event is not only evidenced by the significant number of dollars generated, but perhaps more importantly, by the attitude of the participants toward supporting our club events in the future. I know that your skill as a master of ceremonies helped lock in a significant number of future supporters. On a personal note, I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to ride along with you as you made your 'Mulligan Man' appearance with each foursome. I know many of the golfers personally, and from the hacker to the more serious devotee, there was a genuine pleasure from your enthusiastic mingling with them. As soon as we nail down the specifics on next year's event we'll be in contact. We wouldn't think of holding an event without your agreement to help.

I just wanted to really thank you for sending me the CD of the photos from our photo shoot, and for sending me the newspaper and golf magazine as well. That's a lot of extra work, and I am very impressed with your commitment to follow through with the people you work with. Most people work on the "out of sight, out of mind" theory...but you are a true professional. I'd be proud to work on any event with you! Have a great weekend, and let me know if I can help you in any way. Greg Baxter

I play in about 4-5 charity tournaments that you host and it's always been a pleasure playing with you. In fact, you chipped one from the fairway for an eagle last year on the 15th hole at El Caballero. I look forward to playing with you again. Wayne Sluman
